Welcome to Tournament ChallengeWelcome to the 2008 Men's Tournament Challenge. You've heard all the talk about March Madness. Now it's your turn to take part in it and it's really easy to do. All you have to do is select who you think will win each of the 63 tournament games that take place starting March 20. For each game you get right, you earn points. As more games are played and the number of teams starts to dwindle down to the Final Four, the point value for a correct pick increases. Then you just sit back, watch the teams battle it out on the court, and root for your selections to win. What could be simpler? Pick the most games correctly and you could win $10,000 cash. And just for taking part, you are eligible for the runner-up prize, a $5,000 Circuit City gift card and a $500 ESPN Shop Gift Card. Haven't signed up yet? What's your excuse? You say you don't know anything about college basketball? No problem. In addition to the many fine experts right here at ESPN who can give you advice on who to pick -- Dick Vitale, Joe Lunardi, Andy Katz and Jay Bilas, just to name a few -- the NCAA goes to the trouble of seeding the teams for you. While upsets happen in every year's tournament, very rarely do you see a 13-seed or higher win a first-round game -- and in fact, no 16-seed has yet knocked off a 1-seed. Of course, there's always a chance it could happen, which is what makes watching the tournament so much fun, but that doesn't mean you should pick it in your bracket. But that also doesn't mean you can't. You can pick whatever teams you want. It's your bracket in fact, we'll give you the chance to fill out 10 different brackets, so why not go crazy with at least one of them. Pick the school with the fiercest mascot pick the school closer to your front porch pick the school that has the better-dressed coach. Pick a huge underdog to go all the way. People would have thought you crazy selecting tiny George Mason to make it all the way to the Final Four in 2006, but that's exactly what happened. This year it could be Drake, Butler or Davidson. You never know. That's why they call it March Madness. Are you a fan of teams that like to rely on a guy who is both figuratively and literally the big man on campus? Then you'll want to take a close look at Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina, Roy Hibbert of Georgetown and Hasheem Thabeet of Connecticut, just to name a few. More a fan of guard play? You'll probably find players like Chris Douglas-Roberts of Memphis, D.J. Augustin of Texas and Drew Neitzel of Michigan State more to your liking. And if you're looking for those freshman sensations who may be considering a leap to the NBA next season, this may be your only chance to follow Kevin Love of UCLA, Michael Beasley of Kansas State and Eric Gordon of Indiana through the tournament. We've also got message boards where you can brag about your successes or complain about those controversial calls that caused your bracket to go down in flames. You can even send a "Smack Card" to your friends to let them know the precise moment when their favorite team's dreams of championship glory ended, along with their chances at beating you. So what else are you waiting for? Sign up now! This is the time of year when David actually has a chance to beat Goliath. Why can't you end up being the David in this story? Why can't your entry end up at the top of the leaderboard when all the games are over and done with? Why can't you be the one to walk away with $10,000 cash? This is March Madness, the time when anything is possible but you have to be in the game. A.J. Mass is a fantasy football, baseball and college basketball analyst for ESPN.com.
